chatting with the Girlie

No. No, it *isn’t* fair. But who said that things were always going to be *fair*? Obligingly letting consequences following actions (good or bad), yes. But fair? Well, “fair” is entirely dependent upon that person’s POV. What is “fair & balanced” to one person, ain’t necessarily so for another.

Thank you. This has been Triple- “Jack Handly”-Mare’s Deep Thought for the Day…now to return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

  1. It’s amazing how well watching “Labyrinth” with us cured my little sister of her “It’s Not Fair” problem… *wry grin*

(“…I wonder what your basis for comparison is.”)

    1. Exactly.

She was complaining that I was making her do housework during her summer break – that it wasn’t “fair”.

      *shrug*
      Nothing is, little one.

  2. It’s not faaaaaaiiiiiiirrrrr.

I passed a whiney kid harrassing his mother with that line.

I looked him in the eye and said, “Life is pain and dissapointment. Get used to it.”

He was stunned into silence. Mom just grinned.
