Went and saw Sweeney Todd last night. I liked it.
I wasn’t expecting to be all that impressed with the singing but they actually did a decent job with an admittedly difficult score. Sweeney was my very first play, years and years ago; my high school drama dept took us to a local college’s rendition of it. I was intrigued because while I could tell that the actors themselves sucked – it *was* a bit beyond their scope of talent – the story itself and the music were incredible. Then I saw the taped version with Angela Lansbury. If you haven’t seen it – go and find it. It is one of my all time favorite plays.
I must admit though….my first thought during the opening sequences (past the credits which were just icky, to tell you the truth) was that every little black-clad wannabe was going to be having gothgasms.

I was complaining (via text) to the BF that I was running late to work due to the idiot drivers on the road. He was very sweet and offered to make it up to me tonight, when he got home. Of course, my reply was that I would shave to be ready! I’m pretty sure that’s when he swerved off the road.*

In keeping with the NY resolutions, I have pulled out my old BFL book and worksheets – the food/workout spreadsheets** – and looked them over. I am going to shoot for using this week to get things squared away and starting next Monday. I’ve done BFL before and I find that it works for best for me.

Squared Away
>> Non-healthy/junk food outta the house
>> Menu made for the week
>> Groceries bought (am going to try using organic only)
>> Workout plan put together
>> Key to the complex’s gym retrieved from office
>> Schedule thought out – the how and when I am going to fit the workouts in.

I think I will also try to track my food/workouts in my journal.*** That way, it will help keep me accountable.

Call gymnastics place and enquire about enrollment for the Girlie
