McCain not sure how many houses he and wife own . I wonder if he even gets that he is supposed to represent all social classes if he is elected?

The Process

I’m assuming you mean all the crap about the Olympics, correct? I’m not freaking out about it, it just bothers me that there seems to be, in my mind anyway, clear evidence of either misleading the IOC or outright cheating, and by the host country in gymnastics in particular. There’s no denying the female gymnasts are very, very talented. But they’re also of dubious age. Also, I honestly don’t understand how someone can fall on their vault landing and still walk away with a medal when the gymnast right below her performed a clean vault and stuck the landing. I am for talent, I am against breaking the rules. This is the Olympics, the pinnacle of sportsmanship, where athletes from every country meet on what is supposed to be a level playing field. Cheating to get a leg up is the bad sportsmanship- calling someone on it is not.
Just my $.02, as I’ve been waaay to into these Olympic games this go-round. Still prefer the winter ones- give me my figure skating and curling any day!
Also, John McCain is an moron.

Amen to the first part. I like McCain, though. I won’t vote for him, but as a person, he’s okay.
Just going to nerd out on the vault question for a second. That happened because each gymnast’s vault routine is examined before the competition and given a start value based on difficulty. That start value cannot be contested after the beginning of the competition, and is part of the scoring. The Chinese gymnast’s start value was much higher because her routine was more technically difficult, and Sacramone’s routine had a lower start value. Thus even with the deduction for landing on her knees, the Chinese gymnast scored higher because she attempted a very difficult move. No one stole the gold from us, and the scoring was fair by IOC rules. Whether IOC rules are fair is always up for debate.
Thank you for explaining the vaulting. With the change in scoring it’s been a little hard to follow. 🙂

Not sure if you mean they were too young or the scoring issues if its about the age thing, then sportsman ship link should be sent to China, and Barry Bonds and anyone else who breaks the rules.
I generally hate sports, and don’t care but once every 4 years the Olympics come on and to me they seem so pure and so perfect and that they are there for true competition with people against people that are equal and the best wins. They are only equal if they follow the rules. For me it’s not about USA winning it’s about China cheating. Don’t taint my fucking Olympics with your lies. Give me your best and beat us, please beat us, make us work harder, make me cheer and pay attention and make it amazing but make it happen without cheating you fucking cheater.
