Yet another typical day in the life….

*some backstory: BFF did not get a job offer due to the screwups at previous jobs not phoning in the rec’s they’d promised. As she says in her LJ, “grr die grr die”.

MOI : am reading
MOI : snakes! I hate snakes, Jock! I hate ’em!!!
BFF : 🙂
BFF : The first one made me think of us, and our occasional love of quoting from the SNL skit that consisted of nothing but ways of saying “what the hell is that?”
MOI : there are some very very good ones in there.
BFF : yeah
BFF : well….poop
MOI : Uh oh
BFF : not a good start to m’day. Hope it looks up.
MOI : what up ?
BFF : – linkie to her journal wherein we find out about arse-marmotry and how it abounds in the workplace –
MOI : You gonna call ’em and yell?
BFF : my refs? I have calls/emails into people who work with them all, yes.
BFF : since direct contact seems to have done no good whatsoever
MOI : You want I should go and kick them in the shins until they comply? I am a GREAT shin-kicker.
BFF : True that. But I have guilt on my side. I just lost 1, maybe 2 jobs, because *you* couldn’t be bothered for whatever reason. ……..*stare*…….. Now, what are we going to do about it? …………*stare*…………
MOI : kk. But if they don’t cave to the guilt (with monerical renumeration /guido voice) then shin-kicking for goodness, yes?
BFF : yes
MOI : “Squeaky wheel gets the kick!” “Go for the eyes, Boo! Go for the eyes!”
BFF : 😉
MOI : (I am channelling the appropriate man for the job, just in case)
BFF : lol…thankee
