Dear Denizens of Hwy 183-Austin,
A hale and hearty “fuck you!” to all those morons on this particular stretch of highway. You managed to make a stressful day even more exciting by slamming on your brakes because of the cops on the side of the road. The cops were HELPING someone else who had run out of gas. I know this because you freaking stopped traffic for a minute. The fact that you were in the middle lane and damn near caused multiple accidents was just the icing on this particular cake. The next time you do something like that, I am going to find out where you live and come plant my foot so far up your ass you’ll be tasting leather for the rest of the month.
I hope that we have cleared up any misconceptions about your driving responsibilities.

The Process 
I love it when the cop has already pulled someone over and is issuing the ticket… and everyone has to slow down, like the cop is going to just be able to SENSE you speeding and will drop the ticket and jump into his car to give YOU a ticket instead.
Um, actually, the cop himself won’t do it, but he’ll radio you in to a cop further up the way.
The law states that when they have someone pulled over – you must either change lanes or slow down 20mph slower than the posted speed limit. If the speed limit is 60 and you buzz the cop doing 50 you may find yourself pulled over.
They had checkpoints set up where one would write the citation and the other would be pointing the radar gun at traffic passing, that I’ve seen a few times.
Are you serious? I have NEVER heard of that law before.
It became active about 1-2 years ago.
Too many cops were getting hit by cars while doing traffic stops (personally, I usually try to exit and pull in a safe spot – puts the cop in a better mood)
That’s only for the lane adjacent to where the cop is located, not the entire 3 lane highway.
