As previous post indicated, we went and saw G.I. Joe last night. It was pretty good — decidedly schmalzty with lots of red/white/blue and upswelling theme music.
But, I digress.
What I really wanted to remember was not the movie itself but the opening tidbit during Alamo’s screening of it. One of the guys involved with Alamo (Tim? Jim? Johnny Bon-Tonn? Fuck, cannot remember) was dressed as Cobra Commander(TM), complete withe blue face hangings. He staggered up to the front of the theater, bounced off the edge of one of the forward chairs, stumbled back a bit and then paused. Then he raised his microphone to his lips and said,
“Sorry guys. Cobra Commander’s been getting his drink on a lil…”
The Process 
I heart the Alamo.
Even though I don’t get the joke, they still get an A for effort.

I would have paid double to see a drunken Cobra Commander. Oh yes indeedy. “That’s a mighty fine gin and tonic there, Destro. Why don’t you fix me another?”
