Fashion Bug Up Her Butt

So I’m thinking of cutting off my hair. “How much hair?” some of you may wail.

All of it, pretty much. Think pixie style. I’d post a picture of it in here except that I don’t know how. I’ve had longish hair for the last 10 or so years. I cut it up to chin level a few months ago. Now I’m wanting more gone. I want hair that I can style quick, quick, quick! A friend divasheila is going to do it for me, I think.

Now the question is….what color? Red, I’ve done. Same with dark brown. I don’t mind repeats, I just wanna see some opinions. Lemme know if you’ve got a burning desire to see my hair in this handy-dandy poll. (my first, I’m so proud!)

  1. I’m considering doing the same. I sort of took the plunge back in February anyway, when I had it cut shorter than it had been since I was about 9 years old. Now… well, I’m not happy with it as it is, and I’m thinking, “What the heck.” Maybe instead of just growing it out long and straight again I ought to give short a try. Less traumatic than getting it long and then having to whack it all off again, and if I hate it… well… I have lots of cute hats.

Good luck! As for color, I didn’t take the poll but if you’re in a mood to do something radical with the cut, why not go over the top with the color too?

    1. Hey thankee sai!

I say go for it. Part of the reason that I’m doing it is because I’m losing alot of hair. This is apparently a part of the rapid weight reduction that is less than glamorous. Ah, well. At least I’m healthier.

I think I want mahogany hair with pink strips in it. I’d like something fun for a bit.

      1. Really? That’s a shame, here I thought it was a good organization. An ex-gf of mine had her 8 year-old daughter donate her hair to them when she decided to get it cut short.

      2. And unless it was in absolutely perfect condition, very long, and black, there’s an excellent chance they turned around and sold it for money. A very, very small percentage of their donated hair actually gets made into wigs for children.

      3. I can understand it needing to be in perfect condition and long (supposedly this girl’s hair was both of those at least), but black? Why would it have to be black?

Well either way I won’t tell my friend, she’s very proud that her daughter has done something that they both feel will benefit some poor child somewhere. I can’t take that away from them.

  2. Please don’t cut it pixie-style

    Please.

    I beg of you.

I truly don’t believe it would look very flattering on you at all.

I’ll be your personal live-in stylist if need be.

    DON’T GO PIXIE-CUT!

(although if you do, I won’t love you any less, of course. I’m merely offering my opinion…)

    1. Elf, thanks for your opinion. I’m going to cut MY hair the way I want it. I’m cutting it really, really short for several reasons
1.) It’ll be MUCH easier to style
2.) Its something I haven’t done to my hair in a long while
3.) My hair is falling out due to the rapid weight loss that is occurring
      4.) It’s MY hair

As for being my live in stylist, thanks but I can take care of that my self as I was a licensed cosmetologist for a couple of years. And if I did need someone to take the job I have a friend (whose name I mentioned in the original post) who is *currently* a stylist. So the job is all taken.

As I’m pretty sure you were trying to be helpful and not actually offend me why don’t we call truce on this right now?

    1. Pank!

I’m thinking red too or at least a red-brown but I want some pink too, I think. I’d like a something a little different than the normal colors that I go with.
