The recruiting company called with an offer. I go to fill out paperwork on Monday, Orientation next Thursday and start training the Monday after that.
Yay! Work! For a decent company, no less. I am stoked.

WHOOOOOOOT! We must celebrate the impending employment!
Which position is this, again???
AppleCare call center gig.
Is that the close one?
That’s the close one. 🙂
Heh, I did that before. I think you’ll be better at it than me. I stunk. You’re much more knowledgeable. And if you get on permanaent, I can harrass you for your discount. 😉
not about Apple!
But they train, so its all good
They do train and if you’re technically inclined, then it is a good thing. I am not technically inclined by nature, and it was tough for me to troubleshoot. It was not a good fit for me, and I should have known it going in.
How long’d you work there?
It was back in 1999, so I can’t really remember exactly how long, but only about six weeks, I think.
YAY A JOB! 🙂
I know! Its OK money but the company is very good to its employees. Recognizes that call center work is hard and stressful and does everything it can to make the job easier on their techs.
Woohooo! 🙂 That’s just lovely. I hope its a good match for you for a good long time. 🙂
Apple Call Center in Austin? I know someone who used to work there
Now you’ll know someone who does.
::single tear:: now my life is complete
*sob*
Its beautiful man. Just beautiful.
Congratulations!
Thankee sai!
Congratulations—I am very, very, very excited for you!
And I’ll be supporting Macs – so you can call me for your tech support needs! 😉
Apple Computers (not “AppleOne”), right?
I temped there a couple of years ago before getting into the PC tech field. Loved it.
It is indeed Apple Computers.
I miss the environment there. Very cool people and surroundings. (and this was at two separate locations & assignments.) I’d do it again, in a heartbeat.
I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve supported Macs but little in the past.
Very much woo for you 🙂
Thanks honey! 🙂 Do I get a line of festive rodents?
