The Pissy Chronicles

Spending an afternoon in a pee lab is NOT my favorite thing to do. Not by any stretch of the imagination. Spending an afternoon in a pee lab and having them fucking deny the paperwork the goddamn recruiter sent is on the fun-list somewhere after being ass-raped by clowns.

I’ve got to contact the recruiter – who is in California, so I can’t visit retribution on her personally – so that she can setup a new frickin’ account with these idiots. Because otherwise, I won’t be able to start work on Monday. And that makes me very angry. And lemme tell ya; you wouldn’t like me when I am angry.

Mare SMASH!!!

  1. They’ll probably let you start work on time. Most likely the contract just calls for you being able to present a negative drug test within a certain number of days from your start date.

    1. True. But having been sent the paperwork and sitting in a lab for 2.5 hours while they processed others — and then being told my paperwork was 18 months out of date(*) was more than a bit irritating.

      * Apparently the old company, we’ll call them Company X was bought out by the new company (Company A). And the recruiting firm has apparently no idea about this as they sent paperwork pertinent to Company X.

      1. Granted, it’s irritating. I’d be mad to.
I’m just saying it probably won’t delay starting your new job. You’ll have to go back later (hopefully with the right paperwork this time.), but you’ll start the job (and your first paycheck) on time.

    1. Yeah, I picked up a bunch of new icons. I’m gonna have to cycle through them as my account only allows 15 at a time. That is one of my particular favorites, though.

Yeah, see replies above for the gory details.

      How’s you, in better news?

      1. I’s doing much better, thanks for asking, after a week out of my sucky job. I actually have been very productive and am feeling much more on top of things.

I’m tickled I learned pretty easily last night how to make DVDs with menus and all the other trimmings, and I’m catching up on some work for a completely new layout for my business web site.
